Additional info/contents	Sousa wrote fifteen operettas as well as his marches. The best known was El Capitan, written in 1896. The closing theme is also used to conclude this march. El Capitan March is unusual in that it contains both 6/8 and 2/4 time signatures. Care must be taken to play all rhythms properly and with vitality. Also of importance is the dynamic control and contrast and articulation. Instrumentation: Flute I, Clarinet I, Trumpet I, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone II, Bassoon, Alto Clarinet, Flute II, Clarinet II, Oboe, Alto Saxophone I, Trumpet II, Clarinet III, Tenor I, Baritone Saxophone, Percussion I, Horn II, Tenor II, Baritone (Bass Clef), Tuba.
