Additional info/contents	Jacob de Haan is a guest in the Veluwe region and sets the annual village festival to music in his own way - entirely in keeping with the customs of Lunteren. “As a theme I chose a Dutch folk song, Wien Nederlans bloed. With a different text, this is the song of Lunteren. The work opens with the ringing of bells and drums. Fragments of the folk song can then be immediately recognized.” This is followed by a moving Allegro. “Horses appear on the scene and run their first lap while being whipped. Folk theater and dances in the Renaissance style, the traditional auction, the wake-up call of the heralds the next morning. Horse-drawn carriage, a few horses go through! Whirling waltz by a folk dance group, marching musicians. You can still hear them playing in the streets late into the night,” says an enthusiastic Jacob de Haan. But then... the folk song theme sounds in a chorale variation in a minor key. And then festive again. The pious villagers are on their way to church and think back to the festival with satisfaction.
