In his music he captures the atmosphere of a pulsing metropolis, the different moods of different districts and the always noticeable vitality. The piece offers many musical possibilities: TThe tutti sound of the symphonic wind orchestra, lyrical melodies, challenging solo parts, often sudden changes in tempo and toneand transitions to a completely new atmosphere, to new styles. It also calls for well-balanced, varied playing. This is the essential prerequisite to make “City Impression unfold its inherent musical variety and beauty of sound.
