Composer Mertens, Hardy
Difficulty level 3+
Duration 11:40
Additional info/contents 1. Satz: Samba; 2. Satz: Waltz; 3. Satz: Blues;

1st movement: Samba; 2nd movement: Waltz; 3rd movement: Blues;

Despite the following circumstances:
* the samba is not a real samba
* the waltz is not a real waltz
* the waltz has snuck into the samba
* the blues has lost its bass line
* the 'trot' can only be played after dental work
* if two vibes players are not available, a four-handed player is necessary
* the alto saxophonist has to whistle
* some of the percussionists have to take care of their own applause
* two clarinet players will want to flee before the end of the piece
* in addition to the standard percussion a bicycle bell, a typewriter, two song whistles, a rattle, an alarm clock, a washboard and a sport whistle are required...
this work is a completely normal piece of music!
By the way: there is absolutely no story behind it. If the end sounds like an outdated record, this can be regarded as pure coincidence.
Hardy Mertens (in a very serious mood)
