Additional info/contents	Classical Delights is a dual grade score having parallel (A) and (B) parts. (A) is for experienced players at 2.5 grade level and (B) is for beginners at grade one. There are challenges for advanced students to perform the original melodies. This is a medley of classical works. While there are many fine original band pieces available, students do not always have the chance to perform great classical works. I would like for young musicians to discover masterpieces from the old days, so I decided to incorporate the following works; 1. The Great Gate of Kiev from Pictures at an Exhibition (Modest Mussorgsky) 2. Aragonaise and Les Toréadors from Carmen (Georges Bizet) 3. Triumphal March from Aida (Giuseppe Verdi) 4. Scene from Swan Lake (Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky) 5. Hungarian Dances No. 5 (Johannes Brahms) 6. Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43 (Sergei Rachmaninoff) 7. Turkish March (Ludwig van Beethoven) 8. Turkish March (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) 9. Light Cavalry Overture (Franz von Suppé) 10. The Sorcerer's Apprentice (Paul Dukas) 11. Montagues and Capulets from Romeo and Juliet (Sergei Prokofiev) 12. Night on Bald Mountain (Modest Mussorgsky) 13. Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” - 2nd Movement (Antonín DvoÅ™ák) 14. Pomp and Circumstance Marches (Edward Elgar) There are motives of BWV.846. The Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1 No.1 in C Major (Johann Sebastian Bach) hidden in some parts. In order to enjoy and appreciate these classics, I did not arrange to be too far from the originals, transitions are limited and the core of each piece is featured.
