Additional info/contents	SW-Grad Orchestra: 4 The trombone concerto "Seasons" was written for a joint project with the solo trombonist of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Christian Winter. This also gave rise to the title "Seasons" - spring, summer, autumn and winter - and thus the four movements into which the compact composition is divided. In "Spring", the trombone presents itself as a lyrical solo instrument, flowing in 6/8 time and soft in sound, In "Summer" (summer, with a summery character), on the other hand, it is virtuosically playful in the entire range of its tone. Autumn" (autumn, autumn love) resembles a musical declaration of love in the form of a romantic ballad, before Winter" (winter, winter fun) breaks all the dams and ends the work with a roaring Latin-style party. The finale can be improvised ad libitum, or the written-out "improvisation" can be used. "Seasons" makes professional demands on the soloist, the orchestral part is challenging, but can be mastered by ambitious amateur orchestras.
