Additional info/contents	The rocky landscapes of the American Southwest are home to numerous canyons, including the peculiar shape of the "Slot" Canyon, whose name refers to the narrow gap between the high vertical walls. These gorges are created by water erosion in dry areas and are often difficult to access. Well-known examples are the Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons on the Navajo Reservation, which offer fascinating landscapes. Discovered by a Navajo girl in 1931, Upper Antelope Canyon reveals a magical world of curved sandstone walls and changing hues. Lower Antelope Canyon, also known as the “Corkscrew,” is longer and has an impressive structure. Despite their beauty, both gorges can be dangerous, as tragic accidents have shown. Iranian composer Amir Molookpour was inspired by these natural beauties and created a musical composition that captures their atmosphere and history. This composition was created with the help of a contribution from the Music Investment Fund, an initiative of Buma/Stemra in collaboration with Voi©e, the association for copyright interests and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in the Netherlands.
