Additional info/contents	Weill's famous "Threepenny Opera", a work in which prevailing opera conventions are pulled into the "ridiculous". The first part is a "serious", almost baroque overture, followed by an easy-listening ballad and the finale is a sparkling song in a Charleston setting. A mix of dance music, mixed with stylistic elements from jazz and often peppered with irritating dissonances as deliberate irony. This is opera music, but for once quite different!
