Additional info/contents	A Touch of Klez! was composed for solo flute or alto saxophone and wind orchestra. The work is based on the three klezmer melodies "Ani Purim", "Shlof Mayn Kind" and "Freilachs Fun L.A.". Klezmer is a traditional Yiddish music that originated in Eastern Europe in the late Middle Ages and was originally intended as music for weddings. In the 20th century, klezmer melodies in Europe were influenced by other musical styles. In America, jazz had a major influence on this rousing music.
