Composer Wollmann, Thorsten
Difficulty level 4
Evaluation level of countries C3 (Swiss 2nd class); D4 (German upper level)
Duration 8:20
Additional info/contents The German composer Thorsten Wollmann has lived in Thailand for many years, but always likes to return to his southern German homeland. Many things that he did not appreciate so consciously in the past he now perceives quite differently during his visits, especially the European landscape and the culture rich in tradition. He therefore likes to incorporate these aspects into his works. In "The Rhine Journey", Wollmann describes the course of the Rhine from the Swiss Alps over the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen, through the Rhine Valley with its magnificent castles, until the imposing river finally flows into the North Sea. In this work, Wollmann confirms his reputation as a sound painter and creates a beautiful sound painting of the Rhine in a very colourful and pictorial tonal language.

- An den Ufern des Alpenrheins
