As the tempo climbs, fragments of the initial melody lead us back to a dramatic reprise of the first movement. The show ends as it began, providing a satisfying conclusion to the musical and dramatic arc. Staging and costuming opportunities abound in this show, suggested by both the familiar story and the intensity of the music. A stunning contribution by a talented writer!
