Additional info/contents	Otmar Mácha (1922), a leading contemporary Czech composer, has written many major symphonic pieces, stage music, and vocal compositions, and has also composed for children, for the radio, television and theatre, and even ventured into pop music. In 1976 he finished a musical to the libretto of Jiri Bednár, after Alois Jirásek's play Cradle. His musical comedy Cradle for Sinful Maidens was first performed in 1982. The scherzo overture with a distinct motive of horn fanfares evokes, in a humorous way, an old-fashioned atmosphere.
