Written in honor of the composer's grandfather, this setting represents the atmosphere in the barracks 'after hours' when the soldiers aren't quite as gung-ho as usual. Unfortunately, inspections can happen without warning, and the troops quickly assemble, clean up their bunks, and display their staunch military discipline... until the officer leaves, and life can return to normal.
