Additional info/contents With "The Blue Planet" Kurt Gäble has created not only a musically very beautiful work, but also a socially critical one.
The composition consists of three parts:
In “Genesis - Creation”, delicate tones in the woodwinds and powerful sounds in the brass symbolize the original harmony between man and nature.
“Progress - Progress” shows in its dramatic structure where the constant striving for prosperity leads: to the endangerment and even destruction of all the livelihoods of people and nature. Chorale-like, thoughtful-sounding brass sounds lead into the emotional third part.
“New Life” - the new path is determined by simplicity and the pursuit of harmony with nature and the Creator. The sound of the bell at the end of the work symbolizes this final and essential goal.

The composition "The Blue Planet" by Kurt Gäble is an impressive work of brass music that is not only artistically demanding, but also conveys a profound socially critical message. In three parts, Gäble addresses the original harmony between man and nature as well as the danger posed by uncontrolled progress in order to ultimately show a path to a harmonious new beginning.

The first part of the composition, "Genesis Creation", represents the original harmony between man and nature. A harmonious sound landscape is created through the use of delicate pastel tones from the woodwinds and strong accents from the brass. Here Gäble uses the expressive means of brass music to emphasize the beauty and integrity of nature. The gentle sounds symbolize the original harmony between people and the environment.

The second section, "Progress-Progress," takes a dramatic turn and reflects the dangers of uncontrolled progress. The musical system becomes more intense and points to the endangerment and destruction of all the livelihoods of people and nature. Bell tones, as a reminder and warning, illustrate the dangerous wrong path that society has taken. The musical design underlines the seriousness of the problem and leads to a thoughtful interlude.

The third part, "New Life", presents a new path characterized by simplicity and the pursuit of harmony with nature and the Creator. Chorale-like, thoughtful brass sounds lead into this contemplative section. Here Gäble gives hope for a new beginning and shows a positive perspective. The third sound of the bell at the end of the work symbolizes the final and essential goal: the return to a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

"The Blue Planet" by Kurt Gäble is not only a sophisticated brass music composition, but also a powerful statement about the challenges of our society. Through clever use of musical means, Gäble succeeds in illustrating the development from original harmony through the threat of progress to a possible new beginning. This composition not only encourages musical enjoyment, but also encourages reflection on how society deals with its environment.
