Additional info/contents	The composition Nahr-Al-Alwaan (the river of colours) describes the course of a river. Raindrops and snow flakes give birth to the river in the mountains. Several small brooks flow into the river which follows its course through Eastern and Western countries. The mix of Eastern and Western music is expressed by the choise of the instrumentation. Besides the usual symphonic band instrumentation, several oriental musical instruments such as the darbuka and the kanun also play an important role. Programme notes *: In the fading shadows of dawn, the first drops and snowflakes appear, gently touching the peaks of the majestic mountains. From the purity of nature they form a delicate river that slowly makes its way, Nahr-Al-Alwaan - the river of colors. It is a river that tells stories and makes dreams come true. Its water is clear as crystal and carries the memories of the mountains. Small streams winding down from the heights join it and strengthen its current with their energy. The sun kisses the surface of the water and the light refracts in a kaleidoscope of colors. On his way, Nahr-Al-Alwaan crosses oriental and western lands alike. It is a river that blurs the boundaries between cultures and creates a bridge between them. The music that accompanies him is a melody of union, a fusion of oriental and western sounds. The symphonic wind orchestra plays with passion and dedication, while certain oriental musical instruments such as the darbuka and the kanun tell their own story. The sounds are like a dance between heaven and earth, a harmony that touches the soul and inspires the spirit. Exotic flowers bloom in bright colors along its banks, and the air is filled with an intoxicating scent. People of different cultures and traditions come to its shores to gather, celebrate and dream. It is a meeting place where hearts unite and time seems to stand still. With every bend of the river a new landscape, a new story, a new dream is revealed. It flows through the valleys of the past and the forests of the future, always looking for new adventures and new horizons. And so Nahr-Al-Alwaan continues its course, an endless stream of beauty and life.
