Additional info/contents	Der in Königsberg (heute: Kaliningrad) geborene und in Berlin ausgebildete Komponist Hermann Goetz verbrachte den Hauptteil seiner kurzen musikalischen Schaffenszeit in der Schweiz, wo er als Chordirigent, Organist, Pianist, Musikkritiker und Pädagoge das Musikleben von Winterthur, Basel und Zürich bereicherte. Früh verstorben, schuf er nur ein schmales, dafür aber qualitativ hochwertiges Œuvre. Das Chorstück Er ist’s, ein in sich geschlossenes, harmonisch und melodisch überaus reiches musikalischen Kleinod, stellt einen Geniestreich aus seiner Jugendzeit dar. Sehr subtil tonmalerisch umgesetzt, spiegelt sich jede einzelne Wortgruppe des Gedichts von Eduard Mörike in der Musik wider.
