Brief description This selection of musical gems with works of J. S. Bach, Debussy, Satie, Rameau, Tournier, Humperdinck, Renié and Salzedo contains a wealth of musical expression connected with an expressive musical language and pronounced, flowing melodies.

Nicole Müller has been interested in music since early childhood and received instruction in harp, violin and guitar beginning at age seven. With her harp, she won first prize at the competition “Jugend musiziert” (Youth Making Music), amongst other awards. After completing her studies and diverse master courses, she played in renowned orchestras and was solo harpist of the Osnabrück Symphony Orchestra until 2012. She is now an instructor for harp majors at the Institute of Music of the Academy in Osnabrück. Nicole Müller can be regularly heard in solo recitals and presents programmes for harp in various chamber music combinations.

She selected works of J. S. Bach, Debussy, Satie, Rameau, Tournier, Humperdinck, Renié and Salzedo for her solo CD “Rêves et Danses”, “pieces full of calmness and clarity, pieces full of movement and changing impressions of colours and sounds. It was important for me to find a balance between these brief works of different countries and periods, containing many contrasting moods.”

The connecting strands between the works are finely woven. the majority of the pieces are from the periods of romanticism or impressionism, when dream worlds and onomatopoeia were a central concern.
