| Brief description |
This CD offers a wide range of arrangements for various solo instruments with wind orchestra accompaniment. The arrangers Andy Clark and Andrew Clark have written selected solo pieces from three centuries in practice-oriented instrumentation. On the one hand a carefully worked out solo voice (partly with high demands) and on the other hand voices for the accompanying wind instruments and percussionists of reasonable difficulty are guaranteed.
Also recorded are modern compositions for solo and wind orchestra by composers Ed Huckeby, David Shaffer, Larry Neeck and a solo for snare drum and wind orchestra by Donald J. Young and Austin Spika by the Washinton Winds and outstanding soloists. |
