Additional info/contents	In 2004 the Bürgermusik Tamsweg celebrated its 200th anniversary. On this occasion, a jubilee CD '200 Years of Tamsweg Civil Music' was recorded. The composer and conductor Helmut Pertl wrote this modern alphorn suite especially for this occasion. A solo for 2 - 3 alphorns, which are widely used in the composer's homeland and are being used more and more on the alpine pastures. A concert piece, which is also very suitable for visuals!

Programme notes *: The first part is a sustained ballad with alternating solo passages of the alphorns and individual stops. In the second part it becomes a bit more "groovy" and the "funky" drum rhythm is mixed with harmonic interjections of the different instrument groups, the alphorns and a freely interpreted improvisation solo.
