Die Melodielinien in der Flöte, Oboe und Klarinette sollte mit viel Ausdruck hervorgebracht werden, während die Begleitung sehr ruhig gehalten wird. Die Trompetenfanfare des 'Allegro Vivace' unterbricht plötzlich die ruhige Eröffnung und anschliessend bringt ein lebhafter Rockrhythmus in der Percussion die Band in Schwung. Streben Sie nach klarer Artikulation und nach einem Gleichgewicht. The opening section should be played in a calm manner. The melody line in the flute, oboe and clarinet are to be played with much expression while the accompaniment parts are kept very quiet. The trumpet fanfare at the allegro vivace abruptly interrupts the quiet opening and there after a driving rock beat in the percussion should propel the band. Strive for clean articulation and balance the band so that the forte sections are not played overzealously.
