Additional info/contents	Das Schlagzeug in CLOCKWISE stellt das Ticken oder Aufziehen einer Uhr dar und sollte daher so rhythmisch wie möglich sein. Andere "Uhr"-Effekte könnten hinzugefügt werden, wie z. B. ein Schaber auf dem ersten Schlag jedes Taktes und sogar ein Kuckuck oder eine Alarmglocke am Ende. Die Titel der 'Prelude Series' sind speziell für Bands mit wenigen oder gar keinen Bassinstrumenten konzipiert, klingen aber auch in größeren Ensembles gut. Die Basslinie kann von jeder Kombination aus Bassklarinette, Fagott, Baritonsaxophon, Posaune, Euphonium oder Tuba gespielt werden; falls keines dieser Instrumente zur Verfügung steht, kann der Part für Posaune/Euphonium (B-Dur TC) vom Tenorsaxophon gespielt werden. Die gestimmte Schlagzeugstimme ist völlig optional und kann von jedem verfügbaren Instrument gespielt werden. Zu jedem Stück gehört auch eine Vorübung. Diese steht immer in der gleichen Tonart wie das Begleitstück und besteht aus einer Tonleiter- und Akkordprogression, die zur Verbesserung des Ensembles, der Balance, der Intonation und der instrumentalen Möglichkeiten durch Veränderung von Tempo, Artikulation und Dynamik verwendet werden kann. The percussion in CLOCKWISE represents the ticking or winding of a clock and should, therefore, be as rhythmic as possible. Other 'clock' effects could be added, such as a scraper on the first beat of each bar and even a cuckoo or alarm bell at the end. Titles in the 'Prelude Series' are specifically scored for bands with few, if any, bass instruments but will sound well on larger ensembles. The bass line is playable by any combination of bass clarinet, bassoon, baritone saxophone, trombone, euphonium or tuba; in the event that none of these is available, the part for trombone/euphonium (B flat TC) can be played by tenor saxophone. The tuned percussion part is entirely optional and can be played by any available instrument(s). Each piece also includes a preliminary exercise. This is always in the same key as the accompanying piece and consists of a scale and chord progression that can be used for improving ensemble, balance, intonation and instrumental facility by changing tempo, articulation and dynamics. La percussion dans CLOCKWISE représente le tic-tac ou le remontage d'une horloge et doit donc ętre aussi rythmique que possible. D'autres effets d'horloge peuvent ętre ajoutés, comme un grattoir sur le premier temps de chaque mesure et męme un coucou ou une cloche d'alarme ŕ la fin. Les titres de la série "Prelude" sont spécialement conçus pour les groupes ayant peu ou pas d'instruments de basse, mais ils sonneront bien sur des ensembles plus importants. La ligne de basse peut ętre jouée par n'importe quelle combinaison de clarinette basse, basson, saxophone baryton, trombone, euphonium ou tuba ; au cas oů aucun de ces instruments ne serait disponible, la partie pour trombone/euphonium (si bémol TC) peut ętre jouée par un saxophone ténor. I titoli della 'Prelude Series' sono segnati specificamente per gruppi con pochi, se non nessuno, strumenti bassi, ma suoneranno bene su ensemble piů grandi.
