Composer Tuschla, Walter
Difficulty level 1+
Duration 2:41
Additional info/contents The German trombonist, conductor and composer Walter Tuschla made a significant impact on the repertoire of numerous music societies with his creative and always practice-orientated works, especially in the 1970s and 80s. Tuschla's composition "Signal to Start", published in 1978, is an example of his great melodic flair and particular rhythmic sophistication. This concert march, which can be performed to great effect by both small and large ensembles, has gradually developed into a true classic and delights musicians and audiences alike. In "Signal to Start", the name says it all: the energy that radiates from the first bar runs through the entire work and gives the music an optimistic, sporting character.

This fresh march Auf zum Start sticks to the tradition of contemporary march compositions and will certainly soon become an 'old acquaintance' at many concerts.
