Additional info/contents	In the piece "2020 - A symphonic essay", the composer musically captures the impressions of the Corona year 2020 and creates a powerful symphonic work from them. In the first part, simple traditional yodelling melodies are combined with large-scale tutti passages. This is followed by a conciliatory chorale, which is also recognisable in the brisk main theme (Allegro Vivace). The second part begins with birdsong and a yodel which, with cowbells and a flugelhorn solo, is meant to remind one of an alpine pasture in summer. The yodeller becomes infected, sounds very ill and dies unceremoniously. This is followed by the yodeller's entombment, imitated with a short funeral march theme and the ringing of bells, and finally the longed-for resurrection, which finally leads back to the main theme. The piece ends with a hopeful and pompous grandioso.
