The work contains two Latin American dances: the merengue and the mambo.The exciting rhythms and the use of typical South American percussion instruments result in a stunning composition. Dit werk werd opgedragen aan een goede vriend van de componist, te weten Generaal Gerard Van Caelenberghe , de voormalige Chef Defensie in België. Deze ééndelige compositie bestaat uit 2 Latijns-Amerikaanse dansen: de merengue en de mambo. De opzwepende ritmes en de typische slagwerkinstrumenten maken het geheel tot een bruisende compositie.
