Programme notes *: The Messengers of Light in this composition are both splendid Swarovski crystals and the three Graces, Aglaia (splendour), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). They are rumoured to be the daughters of Zeus, who are analogous to the angels, Raphael, Michael and Gabriel, important figures in Christian and Arabic beliefs. Thomas Doss represents the three angels by using the medieval Es sangen drei Engel as a main theme that is refacted throughout the entire composition.
