They have to pass the checkpoint and call up the best possible performance at the right time. The fresh, modern composition "Checkpoint" (A "Youngstars" Overture) begins with a melodious introduction that merges into an Allegro part. Here the work radiates youthful energy and zest for life. The soulful middle part with a beautiful trumpet solo, shows the sensitive and sometimes thoughtful side of the young people. Finally the composition returns to the energetic sounds of the Allegro part and "Checkpoint" ends in a concise finale.
