Additional info/contents	In the piece Caledonia, Oliver Waespi has adapted three well-known Scottish folk songs into a rhapsodic suite for wind orchestra. The first, jocular song, The Devil Came Fiddling Through the Town, tells of the devil sweeping through the streets and taking the tax collector with him, much to the amusement of the villagers. The following Ye banks and braes is a quiet, melancholy love song. The last part is based on the famous song Hey, tuttie tattie, which is about Scottish history. Thanks to the beautiful melodies and Oliver Waespi's synphonic arrangement, this suite will undoubtedly enrich your concert programme. It is also suitable as a competition piece. The three songs can be performed as a coherent suite or individually.
