Additional info/contents Play and Improvise on Gypsy Guitar. Lead- and rhythm guitar performed by Andreas Öberg.

This book was written for two purposes.
On one hand, it can be used as a play along book for prospective gypsy jazz ensembles. In addition to two well known gypsy jazz standards it offers some original, good sounding tunes in this style. Therefore you find not only the melody, but also a bass voice and the rhythm and chord voicings to every song in the book. Melody and bass are written in both, notes and tabs.

On the other hand it helps guitarists to learn to improvise without the necessity of studying music theory for years, before they can start. The diagrams and licks show which notes on the fingerboard can be improvise over a particular chord or chord progression. If practised long enough, they can easily be applied to other tunes.
