Additional info/contents	With his music for the Karl May films, Martin Böttcher became the most successful German film composer in the 1960s. The title theme of the Karl May film Der Schatz im Silbersee - the Old Shatterhand - Melodie - led the charts in Germany for over 17 weeks in 1962 and was sold more than 100,000 times. An absolute novelty in German music history at the time. The Winnetou-Melodie, the instrumental theme from the second Winnetou film, also became one of the most successful music titles of the popular Karl May films. The arranger and composer Manfred Schneider has adapted and arranged the two successful melodies true to the original and with a great deal of intuition to today's modern wind orchestra.
