Composer Bach, Johann Sebastian
Editor Tarr, Edward; Wolf, Uwe
Additional info/contents After all four trumpet volumes (vol. 1-4) and the first horn volume (vol. 5) of the Bach for Brass series have been published, volume 6 is the second of the two volumes for horn. This volume is also published in a generous, practice-oriented notation in part score, with bar numbers, cue notes, timpani parts - where available - as well as the most important information on the composition, instrumentation details in the source, etc. An instructive preface (German, English, French) and facsimiles complete the picture. These volumes, which are the first to be compiled by experienced scholars and practitioners based on the original scores and voices, are intended to provide today's musicians who aspire to an authentic interpretation of Bach's works with reliable material for study, instruction and performance.
