Additional info/contents	Dieses konzertante, sechs minütige, mittelschwere Stück in drei Sätzen (attacca) verlangt seriöse Vorbereitung, musikalisch, rhythmisch und auch was die Konzentration anbelangt. Preludio: Im Mittelteil, zwischen einer lebendigen Einführung und einer kurzen Schlusswiederholung im 3/2 Takt, hat der Komponist eine lyrische Sequenz eingefügt, mit 'singender' Posaune und wiegender Klavierbegleitung. Siciliano: Dieser von sizilianischen Schafhirten erfundene Tanz, in hüpfendem 6/8 Takt, wurde im 18. Jahrhundert in ganz Europa durch die Hofmusikanten verbreitet und hat seitdem viele Komponisten inspiriert. Galop: Dieser spielerische Volkstanz im 2/4 Takt stammt ursprünglich aus Bayern oder Ungarn und sorgte Mitte des 19. Jh. in ganz Europa für Furore. Meistens als Schlusstanz einer Quadrille (Reihe von Tanzfiguren). Berühmte Komponisten haben Galops komponiert oder in grössere Werke integriert. Jean-François Michel beendet damit seine Suite mit Verve, mehr auf russische Art (à la Schostakowitsch) als in frivolem Wiener oder Pariser (french-cancan) Stil. This  concertante work of six minutes in duration, in three successive (attacca) movements, belongs to the intermediate audition trombone literature and requires serious preparation on musical, rhythmical and mental concentration issues from aspiring trombonists. Preludio: In the middle section, between a lively entry and a repeated finale in 3/2 meters, the composer has placed a lyrical passage for the trombone to 'sing' over a undulating piano accompaniment. Siciliano: Issued by the musical sicilian shepherds, this pastoral dance, based on a bouncing 6/8 rhythm, became fashionable in the European court dance music repertoire of the 18th century. Since that time, the Siciliano has inspired countless composers. Galop: This 2/4 ludic dance, which seems to have its origins in Bavaria or Hungary, became very popular in Europe during the mid-19th century, usually as final piece of a quadrille (series of dancing figures). Many famous composers have written Galops. The one by Jean-François Michel concludes his suite with panache, in the Russian manner (Shostakovich) rather in the frivolous Viennese or Parisian (French cancan) Galop styles. Cette pièce concertante en trois mouvements qui s'enchaînent attacca, d'une durée totale de six minutes et de difficulté moyenne exige une préparation sérieuse du tromboniste, tant sur le plan musical, rythmique ou de la concentration. Preludio: Une entrée et reprise finale allègre sur des mesures à trois rondes (3/2) et entre-deux, un passage lyrique qui laisse chanter le trombone sur un accompagnement ondulant. Siciliano: inventée par les bergers siciliens, cette danse pastorale au rythme de 6/8 sautillant est entrée dans le répertoire des musiques de cours européennes au XVIIIe siècle. Depuis, les 'siciliennes' ont inspiré d'innombrables compositeurs. Galop: cette danse ludique à deux temps, d'origine populaire bavaroise ou hongroise, fit fureur en Europe au milieu du 19e siècle et se plaçait à la fin d'un quadrille (série de figures dansantes). Bien des compositeurs célèbres ont composé des Galops.
