This methodically arranged collection of fingerstyle compositions draws from styles like, blues, bossa nova, ragtime and ballads. These solo pieces range from easy to quite demanding and are furnished with chord symbols, so they cal also be accompanied and expanded through improvisation, thus crating a link to the fascinating harmonies and rhythms of jazz-related music. A CD with live recordings of all tunes (most of them with percussion accompaniment, and some also as play-along tracks with percussion backing) helps the player gain an idea of how the pieces can sound.
