Additional info/contents Pavel Stanék is one of those composers who are literally overwhelmed by their musical ideas. As a rule, he only looks for a title when the work has already been completed. The idea for “A Fairy Tale Suite” is therefore not based on the rich treasure of the local fairy tale world. Stanék wrote the work in the hospital, where he had to undergo a critical operation. Composing helped him to push dark thoughts aside - and as if by itself he found himself in a fairytale world. The result is pictorial musical narratives, fairytale tableaus that come to life through the music. The “Fairy Tale Suite” enables an excursion into the world of fantasy and magic in our hectic times.

Once upon a time in a remote land there lived an ancient castle marked by time. Its stone walls told stories of centuries past, when kings and queens, knights and dragons filled the days with adventures and legends. The castle sat majestically on a hill, surrounded by dense forests and mystical secrets.

In this ancient castle lived a sad princess named Isabella. Her heart was filled with sadness, and her grief echoed through the long corridors of the castle. Every night she sat at the window, looked out at the silver moon and sang a quiet dirge. The melody combined with the wind blowing through the towers and told of lost loves and unfulfilled dreams.

One day Princess Isabella decided to overcome her grief. She left the castle and went on an adventurous hunt through the dark forests, accompanied by loyal companions. The trees rustled with mysterious songs while the birds shared their stories in chirping tones. The hunt became a dance with nature, and the princess found solace in the beauty of the world around her.

After an eventful hunt, Princess Isabella returned to the village on Sunday afternoon, where life pulsated in a quiet rhythm. Villagers gathered in the marketplace to share stories and sing songs. The sun bathed the scene in golden light, and the princess felt the sadness in her heart slowly disappear.

At that moment, Princess Isabella realized that life was like a fairy tale suite - an interplay of sadness and joy, of adventure and tranquility. The old castle represented the past, the mourning song represented their inner feelings, the hunt represented the pursuit of healing and the Sunday afternoon in the village represented the hope for a harmonious future.

And so the princess lived from then on in her fairytale suite, in which the melody of her life resonated through time and her story of love, loss and rebirth was wonderfully interwoven.
