Additional info/contents	A group of European pioneers travel through the American Wild West in search of the Promised Land: 'El Rancho Grande'. But it is a journey with many obstacles. At the beginning of the piece, the rough landscape is still in the morning darkness. The horses gallop towards the horizon. You ride past frightening canyons and see the coyotes waiting for their prey. Finally they reach the border of 'El Rancho Grande' and in a long prelude you can hear the great joy and hope. Now the orchestra plays the main theme. The riders spur the horses and gallop towards their new future.

Programme notes *: At dawn, just as the sun was beginning to cast its first rays over the endless prairie of the Wild West, a group of daring settlers set out. Her destination was uncertain, but her desire drove her forward. They were looking for a place they had heard about - a place called "El Rancho Grande." A country that promised promised wealth and freedom, far from the cramped conditions and insecurity they wanted to leave behind. The journey was hard and full of dangers. The heat of the day made water scarce, and the nights were permeated with cold. But the settlers were not discouraged. Their hearts were determined to achieve their goal and their eyes were fixed on the horizon that offered them the promise of a better future. They rode through dusty deserts and over rugged mountain passes, past raging rivers and through gloomy forests. Each day brought new challenges, but the hope of 'El Rancho Grande' kept them together. Along the way they met other travelers - adventurers, settlers and dreamers, all with the same goal in mind. They shared stories around the campfire and exchanged advice as they continued west together. As the days passed, the settlers struggled through the harsh terrain, always with the image of 'El Rancho Grande' in mind. When they finally reached the endless expanse that surrounded their destination, a feeling of awe and gratitude came over them. Before them stretched the land they had dreamed of - a gentle landscape of green pastures and fertile valleys. The sun glittered on the streams and the scent of blooming flowers filled the air. In a moment of silence and wonder, the settlers knew they had finally arrived. 'El Rancho Grande' lay before them, a symbol of hope, determination and an unwavering belief in a better future in the Wild West.
