Additional info/contents	Four brass players, a typical 'Christmas quartet', play the leading role here at times: traditional nativity songs can be heard from afar, while the orchestra is already creating a 'festive atmosphere in the church'. The four wind players slowly approach until they finally join the orchestra on stage. Performance notes: The brass quartet should initially play "from a distance" (from the back of the stage - not visible -, gallery, balcony or in the room at the very back). When "coming closer", the quartet plays in the audience (centre of the hall or from the back of the stage, but closer to the orchestra). The possibilities of the room should also be utilised in "even closer" (for example, to the side of the audience, side aisle in churches, etc.) Only in E is the brass quintet fully integrated into the orchestral sound.
