These composers were known for such epic films as "Ben Hur", "Spartacus", and "Citizen Kane". "Chariots" frames the sound of these scores for a young band. In performance, pay particular attention to bar 27, where the opening material and the main theme combine to provide the climax of the piece. This section should carry both weight and forward motion. From there, the music drives to the end.
