Brief description Celtic Guitar Journeys is the new project consisting of three internationally renowned finger style guitarists: Soïg Sibéril (Bretagne), Dylan Fowler (Wales) und Ian Melrose (Scotland). They celebrate their Celtic roots in a unique music, which draws from different Celtic traditions and other genres. After their successful debut concert at the “Festival Inter-Celtique” in Lorient and a two-week tour of Wales they recorded a first CD, which is available now.

Soïg Sibéril is one of the most significant musicians to come from the Breton music scene.
He had the chance to meet Michael O'Domnhail, who pointed him to the technique of "open tuning" and went on to adapt this technique to Breton music. He is involved in numerous projects in Brittany with Gwerz, Kornog and Pennou Skoulm and gained international recognition as a solo guitarist.

Dylan Fowler has been a professional musician now for close on 30 years and in that time he has been active in many areas of music as a performer, composer and arranger. He played with many renowned musicians like Dominic Miller (Sting), Danny Thompson (Pentangle, John Martyn). His musical palette draws on his experiences in contemporary European jazz, Balkan and Scandinavian music, traditional music from the Celtic diaspora – particularly his Welsh heritage.

The Scotsman Ian Melrose is a many-faceted musical personality. He has not only gained international recognition as a solo guitarist, composer and arranger, but has also been founding member of various bands: Kelpie, Leuchter-Melrose Duo, Talking Water, the Island Tapes. He is also a sought-after sideman for recording and live projects including Clannad, Mary Black, Sara K., Reinhard Mey.
