Additional info/contents	Right at the beginning of the work, the two of the three main motifs on which the entire composition is based are introduced: a melodic motif consisting of fourth and octave intervals, as well as a rhythmic motif consisting of two eighths, two sixteenths, and one eighth note. From bar 21, the third motif is then introduced, a chorale-like theme built from thirds and small seconds. These three motifs develop throughout the composition, forming the backbone of the work.
