Additional info/contents During his lifetime, Tomaso Albinoni was one of Italy's best-known composers. His instrumental works were extremely popular. Albinoni was the first composer to consistently structure concertos in three movements, and the first Italian composer to publish oboe concertos. His twelve concertos, Op. 7 - and of these, above all No. 3, the Concerto in B flat major - are probably his best-known creations.

De son vivant, Tomaso Albinoni fut l'un des compositeurs italiens les plus célèbres. Ses œuvres instrumentales jouissaient d'une grande popularité. Albinoni fut le premier compositeur à structurer systématiquement ses concertos en trois mouvements et le premier compositeur italien à publier des concertos pour hautbois. Ses douze concertos, Op. Les œuvres n°7 - et parmi celles-ci en particulier le n°3, le Concerto en si majeur - sont probablement ses créations les plus connues.
