Additional info/contents	Oscar Borg (1851-1930) is the king of marches in Norway. During his 50-year career as a military musician, he wrote and arranged around 440 works. He played the violin, flute and cornet and conducted one of Norway's most famous military orchestras, now known as the Easter Region Band of the Norwegian Defence Forces. He was also a choir and orchestra director and played the church organ. His role in military music was so great that the inhabitants of Halden (his home town) decided to erect a monument to him after his death. Borg wrote no fewer than 60 marches, as well as works for choir and symphony orchestra. The march "Sangerfest" is certainly not his best-known march, but it is a small jewel in his oeuvre. Radiotrack
