Additional info/contents	On the occasion of 1200 years of documented mention, Thomas Asanger was commissioned by the market town of Gunskirchen to compose a work that addresses the different facets of the place in the past and present. Due to the large number of events, only a selection can be made into the theme of the composition. When telling history, it is always important where the spotlight is directed. Of course, it can no longer be represented in its entirety. In the course of the piece, different perspectives are taken, from which some highlights from history and the present will be heard. The four-movement work deals with 1. with the history of the place, 2. with faith and religions, 3. the economic importance of the place, 4. the sociability of people, as well 5. the place as a meeting place for people in their diversity. This composition was created with the help of a contribution from the Music Investment Fund, an initiative of Buma/Stemra in collaboration with Voiİe, the association for copyright interests and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in the Netherlands.
