Additional info/contents "When music becomes love" - these few words could describe the story told in the following piece.

It is the story of Viktoria and Matthias, who met as members of different Styrian brass bands at a music festival in Burgenland. They fell in love, but had to live this love in a long-distance relationship. Viktoria at home in Styria, Mathias as a forester in Bad Goisern. Viktoria ultimately followed him to Upper Austria, to Bad Goisern, and ended up as a conductor with the local “Gebirgsmusik”.

"When Music Becomes Love" begins with the morning awakening and the announcement of the music festival, which is musically implemented by a festive march. The core of the composition is a ballad, which is heard first as a flugelhorn solo and then by the entire orchestra. Very romantic, but also a bit melancholic due to the long-distance relationship. In the following transition, the two national anthems and the bridal song "The sun is tilting" are processed in very short quotations. The composition then ends again, as a big bracket, with the festive march theme heard at the beginning. It symbolizes the wedding celebration, which became a great celebration of love and a great celebration of music, not least thanks to the participation of three music bands.

This composition was created with the help of a contribution from the Music Investment Fund, an initiative of Buma/Stemra in collaboration with Voi©e, the association for copyright interests and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in the Netherlands.
