Additional info/contents	The concert work "Snow Mountain Saga" was composed on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Schneebergbahn(s) in Lower Austria. The most famous of these is the cog railway from Puchberg am Schneeberg to the Schneeberg. Originally, the construction of the railway lines was not intended for tourism in the region, but rather to transport the brown coal mined locally. An altitude difference of 1,200 meters is overcome on the almost 10 km long route. It is not an electric train and was originally operated by steam locomotives. Diesel trains have been used for operations since 1999. This composition won second prize in the composition competition on the occasion of the 125th anniversary. Snow Mountain Saga focuses on the creation and further expansion of this snow mountain railway, which is still a popular attraction in Austria today. This composition was created with the help of a contribution from the Music Investment Fund, an initiative of Buma/Stemra in collaboration with Voiİe, the association for copyright interests and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in the Netherlands.
