Additional info/contents "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should treat one another in a spirit of brotherhood." Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights forms the basis of this majestic Symphony of Freedom. In each of the three movements, the composer looks at the universal theme of freedom from a different angle. In the first movement, "Cry for Freedom", the composer expresses his admiration for the Dalai Lama. The second movement, "Dream of Freedom", is based on the photo of the deceased three-year-old refugee boy Ailan Kurdi on the beach of Bodrum. The finale, "Freedom above all", refers to the music of Ludwig van Beethoven in addition to a Bruckner quote. This movement is above all meant to be a confession of life and expresses faith and hope for a better world.
