Additional info/contents For many decades, the author taught percussion at the Richard Strauss Conservatory and the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Munich. Many of his students became successful professional percussionists. In the course of time colleagues have asked him to write a small drum school with his teaching methods. His students also asked him for advice on how to practice. So he started writing them down to help his students practice.
