Additional info/contents "A Sevenoaks Suite" was commissioned by the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band from Kent in the South East of England.
The suite describes three famous landmarks in the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge area: "Knole Park" lies to the south-east of Sevenoaks, "The Chapel - Tonbridge School" revolves around a hymn-like chorale describing the many services that have taken place in the chapel, and "The Vine Bandstand" suggests the kind of music often played in bandstands. The movement is therefore written in the form of a march, although it does not sound like a march all the time, and moves into other styles before ending energetically.
