Additional info/contents	The Salamander Symphony is a three-movement work for symphonic wind orchestra that focuses on the city of Kornwestheim in Baden-Württemberg. It is the name of the well-known shoe factory that was founded there in 1899 and represents the industrial and social development of the city. The symphony contains various allusions to the mythological meaning of the salamander: a robust creature that embodies the soul of fire. Without Salamander there would be no fire at all. A salamander can also change shape and travel through time as a kind of medium. In Berber culture, the salamander represents change.
