Additional info/contents	Without doubt, the slow movement LARGO from the 9th Symphony "From the New World" is one of the most moving works by the Czech composer Antonín Dvorák. The theme, originally performed by an English horn, is probably one of the best-known classical melodies. With this edition of the popular eXplora series, this soulful music is now also playable for youth wind orchestras. The arranger Alfred Bösendorfer has succeeded brilliantly in creating a practical adaptation in which he takes into account the requirements and circumstances of a youth orchestra, while at the same time remaining close to the original. This wind arrangement of Dvorak's famous LARGO is also excellently suited for any orchestra for basic musical work on phrasing, sound, intonation and interplay - and offers an ideal resting point within a concert programme. The solo melody can optionally be played with alto saxophone or trumpet.
