Cossack is a continuous work, in four sections. This piece was conceived as a film score without images, and as such the images of the dances and the Ice-march were particularly important. Towards the end of the piece, one tries to imagine how many Cossacks galloped through the Russian steppe! In terms of standard, this piece would be suitable for most youth groups.
