The festive character of the piece depicts the jubilant mood during the anniversary year of the band. The piece starts with a majestic fanfare for the brass section and continues with a lyrical arioso, which is presented by the woodwinds. The composition has a classical A-B-A form and ends with a reprise of the majestic fanfare.
